Feedback
I have been making sure to get a lot of feedback throughout this Year 2 FMP. I have asked my parents for feedback, family and friends and my tutors.
Today I asked Nick (tutor) for some feedback on my soundscape in the Opening Credits. We had a great discussion. He suggested looking at the Opening Credits like a music remix and considering how any sounds that I add work with the music. I had the first few footsteps matching with the music beats. I am intending on adding Foley sound to then to emphasise them. I asked if Nick’s comment about working with the music meant, for example, not adding Foley footsteps throughout the whole of the rest of the Opening credits since they would not be on the beat and would distract not enhance. He said that was exactly right.
I will write up more of our discussion and feedback under my Editing Audio Section, since I want to comment on it in context.
It was very helpful and it sparked lots of thoughts and ideas and confirmed that I was on the right track, which is always useful, otherwise you can spend lots of time going in the wrong direction, which can use up a lot of time.
