More Fonky For Your Chonky
A YouTube video of Daniel Thrasher playing a humorous piece of music he calls More Fonky For Your Chonky (2020) inspired me.
I could almost see a whole end of robbery mess ups where they put the hat they are stealing in a cleaners trolly and that gets taken by a cleaner so the robbers have to try and find the particular cleaner trolly with the hat in, a bit like all the detectives rushing around the museum trying to work out which is the real Thomas Crown at the end of The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) with the real painting. In The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) none of the decoys has the painting, whereas I would have the hat in one of the trolleys. And every time we think they are getting close the music builds and builds and it turns out that it’s not the right one.
This wouldn’t be easy to film as I’d need to choreograph it with my actors beforehand since it’d all need to be in sync with the music. In terms of my Year 2 FMP yes I have gone simple with my location of just college, but we still don’t have long enough to film it if I am to do it in college. I might think about something else that isn’t in college, the only issue is I really like my idea as it fits my brief of comedy and I can’t yet see anything comedic outside of college. Main issue is college is the only place I can film inside as covid rules won’t be at the stage where we can go inside yet.
More thought is needed. I do like this “More Fonky For Your Chonky” idea, but I am thinking that to do it justice I may need more time than I currently have for this Year 2 FMP. So maybe it’ll have to wait until afterwards.
