More Feedback
This week I showed Nick the first draft of my opening sequence. I had taken in my good headphones for Nick to use since I have done some fancy sound editing in one part. Sam P is wearing headphones. At the start I’ve edited the music on so that the song initially appears to be non-diegetic. However, there is a part where Sam P takes his right earbud out, and I have edited it so that the music stops in the right earbud and we hear ambient forest and birdsong in that ear. I took in my headphones so that Nick could hear this effect.
He liked it and said it was very clever and very effective. I was pleased. After my research into director Edgar Wright I am trying to give this film a much more comprehensive soundscape than I have done before so it is good to see I am starting well.
